Edit Microsystems (Pty) Ltd, an award winning company, has been involved in the supply of education solutions to schools throughout South Africa, for more than 21 years.
Smartboard solutions are provided to schools after determination of needs are assessed. A common Smartboard Solution would consist of a Smartboard (interactive electronic whiteboard), a data projector, a laptop or pc, software and on-going training.
The challenge of affordability has always been a prime restrictor for the majority of schools in bridging the digital divide, whilst the challenge of sustainable technological solutions has been an even greater one. Edit Microsystems has responded to this on-going challenge in various ways such as negotiating with service providers to offer extended warranties on items like data projectors (up to 5 years) and by providing quicker turnaround times on repairs and warranty claims.
Schools are supported on an on-going basis both technically and with training. The Bridgit communication system provides online and remote support to teachers in their classrooms. Interchanging of resources with educators across the globe is easy and encouraged. Educational specialists ensure that the technological solutions are supported by relevant and exciting software packages to enhance the curriculum delivery process.
Edit Microsystems has also been a leader in finding and providing specially adapted hardware and software for Learners with Special Educational Needs. This is also done throughout South Africa.
