There are many educational websites which provide excellent resources for educators to use on their SMARTboards. We will use this space to showcase some of these websites .

First and foremost for all SMART educators:

South Africa now has its own page on Smart Exchange. Here you will find resources created for our South African curriculum by South African educators. Please note that you will have to first register ( its free!) before you can upload or download any lessons. Why not be brave this year and try to upload as many of your lessons as possible. Remember collaboration and sharing are the new buzzwords for 21st century education!

We will be using this space to showcase the amazing schools in South Africa that have become incredibly SMART. These schools use Smartboards and other SMART products on a daily basis to enhance teaching and learning.

We will hear from the SMART educators as to how they incorporate their boards into their daily teaching and how to use it in an effective and interactive manner.

Educational Software:

• Clicker 6

Clicker 6 is the latest version of this widely acclaimed reading and writing software used in over 90% of all UK schools. It is aimed at developing learner’s reading and writing skills and in improving creativity. Learners are able to hear what they write which builds reading and writing confidence. Educators are able to create activities very easily as well as access pre-created lessons on The Learning Grids website. Educators are encouraged to upload their own created lessons for other educators from across the world to use.
